We're delighted to announce that we have partnered with Innovate UK, Creative Edinburgh and Festivals Edinburgh to create the UK's Digital Media Launchpad. There's up to £1 million in funding for micro and small businesses wishing to undertake innovative industrial research into digital media, available in chunks of £100k to £120k.
The competition plans to stimulate Edinburgh’s existing digital media hotspot by enabling companies to reach commercial success more rapidly and to greater effect. The partnership is seeking projects that may be too risky for companies to take forward, involve innovative areas and where the majority of the activities are carried out in Edinburgh.
An integral part of Launchpad is the provision of support to help applicants raise additional external finance while successful applicants will also participate in a programme of business support and mentoring that will run alongside the funding.
