We are seeking a Consultant to join our ambitious and exciting Product & Consultancy Services Company.

Urban Tide is a rapidly growing Scottish based SME with global ambition.  We deliver specialist smart cities services, both across the UK and internationally, and are expanding. We want to attract ambitious and committed individuals.

The global opportunity for our specialisms of smart cities, the Internet of Things (IoT), big data and open data is vast and will surpass $1.5 Trillion by 2020.  We are looking for an experienced Consultant to join us and be a key part of our ongoing development and expansion.  This position is viewed as a key hire and an excellent opportunity for professional and personal development.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provision of advice to our clients on Smart Cities, IoT and Open Data.

  • The generation of content for key deliverables.

  • Contribution to the business development plan and ability to take ownership for delivering key parts.

  • Helping to grow a Consultant team.

  • Monitoring trends in smart cities, big data, open data, IoT, community engagement and everything that builds a better future for us all.

  • Becoming an advocate of Urban Tide online and offline including social media spaces, engaging in dialogues and answering questions where appropriate.

  • Attending events & meetups, networking and capturing business contacts.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Experienced Consultant with ability to demonstrate business and technical acumen.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills for communicating with existing and potential clients.

  • Ability to lead and take your own initiative in a fast paced Consulting environment.

  • Proven written and oral communication skills to articulate principles and convey these concepts to others.

  • Ability to write and deliver presentations and respond actively to questions.

  • Management skills and ability to develop and lead small teams.  

  • Degree level qualification.

DESIRED SKILLS

  • Experience in delivering Smart Cities, IoT, Big Data and/ or Open Data projects.
