Due to a series of client wins, we are expanding our Analytics team in both Edinburgh and London. We are looking for analysts who are able to engage with clients to understand their challenges. The successful candidates will also be able to suggest and deliver innovative customer analytics that help shape our clients’ business.

Role and Responsibilities

Client On-boarding

  • Inform on recommended timings to complete analysis for proposals.
  • Input into case studies and potential solutions as requested by Team/Technical Lead.

Client Delivery

  • Spend time onsite at Clients premises and media agencies.
  • Inform on recommended timings to complete analysis for proposals.
  • Ensure your deliverables meet the clients’ requirements, are delivered on time and have recommendations.
  • Actively seek to improve the look and feel of your work by looking at other analytical deliveries and seeking mentoring.

Client Development

  • Recommend potential next pieces of work, opportunities or new contacts at team meetings or as appropriate to Project Lead.
  • Responsible for building and shaping relationship with the client.

Governance and Operations

  • Inform Team and ‘Project Lead’ if work is likely to complete early or if potential over run.
  • Inform ‘Project Lead’ of any news tools being used or considered within the client and likely timescales for implementation.
  • Track time for clients and Aquila to inform billing
  • Ensure all company documents, data and equipment are securely transmitted, stored and archived in line with the Information Security Policy. Ensure team members comply with Information Security Policy and escalate any breaches to manager.

People, Development and Management

  • Keep abreast of new developments and applications of statistics within Aquila, Big Data Industry and our client’s industries.
  • Live the Aquila Insight Brand Values
  • Collaborate with manager to agree on areas for development from client governance feedback and include in quarterly PDP.

Essential Requirements

Educated to degree level or equivalent in a numerical subject (e.g. but not exclusively Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Psychology, Business Intelligence)

Previous experience in analytical role

At least one of SAS, SPSS, SQL, R

Microsoft Office

Statistical Analysis or Propensity Modelling or Segmentation

Consultancy experience, confidence interacting with clients

Desirable requirements

Google Analytics or equivalent

Hadoop, Hive, Spark or equivalent

MSc or above in numerical subject
