CodeClan Highlands Centre Coordinator
Reporting to: Business Development & Operations
CodeClan is an innovative and award-winning digital skills academy delivering cutting-edge technology training to a wide range of individuals and organisations across Scotland.
With campuses in Edinburgh and Glasgow, we are now opening in Inverness to serve the Highland region and are looking for a dynamic individual to help us run our new campus.
This position will be responsible for the day-to-day administration and management of the centre, coordinating business and operational activities to ensure courses and events run smoothly and efficiently. You will work closely with business development, operations, student admissions/support and employer engagement teams to ensure students and employers have a great experience at CodeClan.
Initially this role be could be offered on a part-time basis, becoming full-time when centre opens in April 2019. Role will be based in Inverness, but may require occasional travel to the other centres. Attendance at regular evening and some weekend events will also be required.

ROLE SPECIFICATION / OUTCOMES
In brief, the role will involve coordinating all activities associated with establishing and running a new centre, including, but not limited to:
reception and day-to-day office management at our Inverness campus
administrative support to all business areas
responding to all enquiries; managing internal and external communications
facilities management, resolving any issues in a timely manner to ensure a safe working and learning environment
managing CodeClan’s IT asset pool including student laptops
planning, organising and assisting with internal student and employer events
assisting with organisation and support of community outreach events
maintaining schedules of courses, industry/employer events and associated activities
maintaining accurate records on office and CRM systems
promoting CodeClan at relevant external events
PERSON SPECIFICATION
An outgoing individual who is customer-focused with excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills. A strong team player with ability to build rapport with students and staff, as well as feel confident in front of clients at various levels of seniority and function. Strong project, operational or centre management experience a bonus.
Essential
As a minimum, we are looking for a candidate who:
has a proactive, enthusiastic, ‘can do’ attitude
has similar experience working on projects, teams, or running centres
has excellent organisational skills and ability to manage priorities and competing demands
has excellent verbal and written communications skills
is a collaborative and flexible team player
can act as an outstanding ambassador for CodeClan
proficient user of IT, web and social media applications
Desirable
In addition, the candidate will have:
basic understanding of the Scottish/Highlands tech industry and software development, or curious with a passion to learn
experience working with wide range of clients/customers in a learning environment
experience working with Google applications (G Drive, Google mail, calendars, spreadsheets, docs, slides, etc)
