IT Systems Administrator

Who are we?

CitNOW provides a range of app-based video solutions to answer business challenges in the automotive industry.

Established in 2008, CitNOW now streams more video than the BBC. Last year we helped dealers record nearly 10 million videos for their customers. As of March 2019, there are over 8,000 live installations of CitNOW in Dealerships worldwide. Our first customer was automotive giant BMW and today, our video services answer business challenges for over 43 car manufacturers across Europe.

To date over 27 million million CitNOW videos have been produced and we are operational in 55 countries, in 25 languages and we have over 80,000 registered users.

The role

The IT Systems Administrator is responsible for supporting a number of secure gateway systems and services that support the global offices within CitNOW. This role works alongside the latest technology and operating ideologies and is instrumental in supporting all key aspects of the day to day running of the business.   

What does the role entail?

  • Ensuring IT is delivered in an effective and timely manner and within budget.

  • Self-starter, able to work to deadlines with a positive attitude

  • Willing to take responsibility, make decisions and recommendations

  • Develop and deliver objectives, bringing satisfactory resolution to identified problems.

  • Managing the outsourced IT & Telecoms support contract and be the single point of contact for resolution of operational issues.

  • Reviewing the existing outsourced IT & Telecoms support contracts and recommend to the Executive Leadership Team any changes that improve both service and cost.

  • Establishing and maintaining good relationships with suppliers and providers, working with them to develop a business continuity plan and to roll this out within the business.

  • Maintaining an up to date and accurate asset log for all IT/Phone and print equipment, software and licences working with procurement and HR.

  • Carrying out regular health checks of CitNOW’s systems, troubleshooting, identifying areas of weakness and take appropriate action to safeguard CitNOW’s systems and IT environment.

What are we looking for?

  • Strong technical background covering networking and communications, switches and routers, firewalls and IP telephony.

  • Experience of Windows Server (AD, DHCP, WSUS, DNS) Azure and Windows desktop operating systems essential.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Hyper-V, SQL Server, desirable.

  • Ability to quickly assimilate new technical knowledge and evaluate this to apply this practically and commercially to the organisation.

  • Knowledge of VPN and Application server; Remote access server

  • An in-depth and working knowledge of Azure framework and processes.

  • Experienced in supporting a wide range of business-critical applications

  • Experience of writing and implementing IT policies and best practices

  • An able communicator with the ability to communicate both internally and externally.

  • An analytical individual with troubleshooting skills
