Teaching Assistant for Data

How would you like to join an award-winning organisation providing training for people across Scotland in digital technologies skills? We are CodeClan, a digital skills academy with opportunities to support the classroom instructor team as a teaching assistant and guide the digital workforce of the future in their learning.
You will need to have experience using R, Python and SQL in either a business or academic context. We need you to have the communication skills necessary to support our cohorts of enthusiastic students in developing their data analysis skills.
We have a team-teaching approach so there will be plenty of support for you inside and outside the classroom. You’ll bring technical experience and ideas which will help ensure the success of our course curriculum.
Due to the development of our new Data Analysis course we now have vacancies in our campuses in Edinburgh and Glasgow. You’ll be joining an enthusiastic and thriving team which is passionate about what we do.
If you are experienced working with data, in particular the R programming language and are looking for a new and unique challenge with the opportunity to make a real difference to the skills of the future, this could be for you.
Desired skills & experience
Here are some of the skills we’re looking for:
1+ years experience working with data in a business or academic context
Solid knowledge of R including use of the Tidyverse and RShiny packages
Knowledge of SQL/Python/CSS
Exposure to statistics and machine learning techniques
Experience of teaching in a classroom environment would be advantageous
