Turing Fest is the top cross-functional tech conference in Europe and the go-to tech event in Scotland. Our purpose is to create events and connections that drive the growth of the tech ecosystem in Scotland, and beyond.
Currently, we run three events throughout the year, and we will be adding 1-2 additional events each year as we work to expand our reach and our brand. Our Commercial Director will be heading on maternity leave for the bulk of 2020. We are looking for a maternity cover for her, with the option/potential to stay in the business after her return at the end of 2020.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced seller in the events industry who is looking for an autonomous role that gives them an enormous amount of flexibility. We are a remote team with an HQ in Edinburgh so we can be flexible with your geographic location, as long as it is in Europe! You will have the option to join a coworking space with other colleagues if you are based in London, on your own if based in another Euopean city, or work from home if appropriate. If you are based in Edinburgh, you will have a desk in our HQ with the bulk of the team.

Achieve set revenue targets for the commercial division
Sell sponsorships for the following events through a combination of personalised outreach and macro campaigns:
The Next Gen 2020 (4 dinners/year; once per quarter)
Scottish Tech Startup Awards
Pending FinTech Event
Pending Marketing event
Help adapt and shape the sponsorship offerings for the various events throughout the year
Manage the entire sales process from start to finish (initial outreach through to contract)
Work closely with Marketing and Operations teams to ensure cohesion and fluid execution in the run up to, during, and after each event
Form lasting relationships with our network
Keep meticulous records in company CRM system
Attend various events around the world
