Creative Edinburgh - Executive Director

Creative Edinburgh is looking for a new Executive Director. This is a rare opportunity for a creative leader to take the helm at Edinburgh’s largest creative network.

Reports to: The Chair of the Board and the Board of Directors
Contract: Full-time, permanent. They are also open to job share candidates.
Salary: £34,000-£36,000 per annum

The Role

They’re looking for someone with strong creative business acumen and meticulous organisational skills, with experience in raising funds through sponsorship and other initiatives. Good relationship building skills, experience of programme curation and working with a membership body is also highly desirable. 

They're eager to hear from applicants with a clear vision for how Creative Edinburgh can best support its creative practitioners and businesses to become sustainable and grow economically, socially, environmentally and/or culturally. 

Organisational know-how and a passion to propel Creative Edinburgh into its next phase of development is a key part of this leadership role.

Creative Edinburgh is a Creative Scotland Regularly Funded Organisation (2018/19 – 20/21) and is based at CodeBase Edinburgh. Working hours are 9am-5pm (with one hour for lunch), and attendance at out of hours events is part of the role. Employees are entitled to 25 days annual leave and 8 public holidays a year. 

The Executive Director reports to the Board of Directors, and leads a small team made up of the Membership Engagement Manager, the Events Producer and the Content Producer. The Executive Director is also a co-Director on Creative Informatics, led by the University of Edinburgh in partnership with Edinburgh Napier University and CodeBase.
