About this event

Come along to the second Edinburgh Greentech Futures creative hackathon! This event is the second in a series of three, led in partnership with VisitScotland and Edinburgh Greentech Futures.

No hacking, tech, or tourism experience is required, just a curiosity to learn and an interest in coming up with creative solutions to some of the most pressing environmental issues to Scotland's tourism industry.

Scotland just wouldn't be Scotland without its incredible scenery, which is at risk from the Climate Crisis. In this series of hackathons we'll look at some of the key environmental issues facing the Scottish tourism sector and come up with potential solutions for them.

In this second session we will recap some of the more popular ideas and work on rounding those ideas out into potential solutions. We will be aided by Joshua Ryan-Saha from the Edinburgh Futures Institute to walk us through some of the data and startups that are in the slow-tourism sphere.
