What an incredible day! The First Minister Alex Salmond declared CodeBase officially open. During his visit the First Minister was introduced to Code First Girls who were running a taster session for their Code & Create Weekend course at the end of March, after which he met with members of Kotikan, Float, eoSurgical, Confbuzz, Peekabu and Rightscale.
The First Minister announced the new digital skills action plan, featuring a £6.6m boost to the digital sector. He was joined by John McClelland of Skills Development Scotland who gave further detail on the announcement. We're really excited about the new plan, it's sure to make a very real difference to the tech sector.
