Last night saw the launch of the first Barclays Eagle Lab in Scotland, right here in CodeBase. Our events space and Hotdesking area were packed with entrepreneurs, designers, corporates, academics, and developers, all creating an incredible buzz. When we weren't stuffing our faces with street food and drinking some tasty Fallen Brewing beer, we got to see some of the new devices in action and meet the users who were excitedly discussing projects.
Stuart Brown [Head of SME Banking, Barclays], Alex Cole [Peekabu] and Jamie gave speeches that echoed the same sentiment - we want to see more software/hardware hybrids coming out of CodeBase in 2018, and having these devices in house will give that opportunity. No longer will prototypes need to be manufactured off site with lengthy wait times; they can now be put together over lunch.
We've got a full list of the machines in the space listed below, and will be hiring a full time lab technician to support you in your endeavours. So if you're interested in launching that IOT project you've been planning, or just want to come in and understand the potential of the space, get in touch via firstname.lastname@example.org. And make sure you follow Eagle Labs on Twitter as well as signing up for the Lab Bytes Newsletter to get all the latest info!
